i have been really busy with life lately. my 2 year old started preschool. my etsy store has been picking up in business, and i have been working on some wedding invitations for some wonderful people i know!
i also have been trying to nail down a work schedule that fits me just right. i have been doing a little research on how other entrepreneurs manage their time. i tell you, it has helped me out tremendously. designing is easy to me, its organizing my time that is hard. i did get some great advice on a couple of blogs...
1. ship products on designated days.
2. check email only in the morning for an hour and at lunch for an hour.
3. choose a particular day to post on your blog. this is to let everyone follow what you do on a day to day basis and to get to know me as a designer.
4. communicate with other people in my design field. they are a community not a competitor.
5. try to put up a new item every two weeks on my online store.
these are some of my goals starting last week. trying to implement them in my schedule.
